What I believe

This is an effort to tell u WHAT and WHY I believe in some things of LIFE. Different people have different opinions about GOD. I never thought or found it necessary to think whether there can be more than ONE GOD. I strongly believe that there is only one GOD. The basic fact is that, GOD need not cater to all the different opinions of men about who HE is. It is we, who have to know about him and the TRUTH about his nature. The experiences of people with GOD can differ from person to person but the TRUTH about who HE is will be the same. He doesnt change himself to be different to different people. Moreover TRUTH has the unique quality of being ONE.
So when I got this to grasp, I put an end to thoughts like All GODS are ONE, GOD can be in different forms, Any road takes us to the Hilltop etc. All these can be very useful to please people of different faiths, but cannot please the ONE GOD. So I choose to please GOD instead of men.
Mystery is the one of the things I dont like much. Truth about GOD cannot have mystery, not at least in the BASIC level.


I am very happy to tell u that my search for TRUTH about GOD has come to a Positive end. I know I neednt search any more. Here I have to tell u that this success of mine has come thru the pure MERCY of GOD, not due to my efficiency or wisdom. I dont consider myself worth a penny. I will now tell u how I am convinced of this TRUTH i found. As u know I believe the TRUTH is ALL ABOUT CHRIST . Please give me ur valuable time to explain how I found answers to ALL questions about life in the CHRISTIAN TRUTH.
The basis of my belief is the wonderful book BIBLE. I have to tell u a little about the book. The various qualities of BIBLE have fascinated me very much. It is a book, which is FULL. It hasnt changed a bit from the start. It is also only ONE like the TRUTH. There is nothing like, BIBLE according to one person and BIBLE according to another person. It is the same here today or years ago in a different part of the world. In all the different languages and translations there isnt a single ambiguity. BIBLE has seen Kings, Nations, Generations, and Wisemen come and go, but it hasnt changed or perished. Many Kings and Rulers in history have set out to destroy this book. But nobody could stop this book, as it is the representation of Gods VOICE. Today we can see BIBLE in all parts of the world in many languages. That is how GOD has saved this for the entire World to see it.
The reason for it to be so marvelous is because GOD has inspired the very book itself. GOD inspired great men over the ages to write parts of this Book. Approximately 40 different men of GOD have written the 66 books of BIBLE over a period of 1600 years. Just imagine it, if the first person started writing it today then the last one to close it will be born after 16 centuries. These men are from all walks of life. Some of them are Kings, Prophets, Historians, Wise men, Philosophers, Shepherds, and even Fishermen. The book is a blend of History, Poetry, Law, Songs, Proverbs, Romance, Fiction, Prophecy, Letters, and Revelations. Every incident in the bible has a specific reference to the place and time in history that it took place. It is not a book written in a dream or in an imagination or in a night or even a lifetime but over the centuries.


ORIGIN OF SIN

According to BIBLE, GOD is to be worshipped. The Angels were worshiping him long before the creation of MAN. Angels are the creation of GOD. Their only job was to obey and worship GOD. That was the essence of their existence. They do not have any individuality.
GOD had six head Angels that had many angels following them. Archangel LUCIFER was one of the six main angels. Everything was going on well until one day Lucifer had a Sinful thought in mind. The thought was
Why should he worship GOD, and Why not get equal to Him . The moment he got that thought God cursed him and his followers and sent them away from his presence. So all the SIN in the world started in the mind. The very thoughts in the mind will turn as seeds to real SIN. From then on Lucifer (also called Satan) has been trying to spoil whatever GOD has done and planned to be good.
GOD created the Heavens, the earth, stars, seas, animals, birds and fish by his word. Then GOD created MAN in his own likeness. ie. With a FREE WILL and a SOUL. So that he would worship the Creator GOD in freedom unlike angels. He created ADAM out of the earth with his own hands and blew the breath of LIFE into him. Then GOD felt that Adam was feeling lonely. So he created EVE out of Adams bone to be a partner to him. So Marriage is the first institution made by GOD himself. On the seventh day GOD rested, hence it is called the SABBATH. GOD told Adam and Eve to enjoy life in their right way. He made Man master of all the creation.
But He ordered them NOT to touch or eat of a particular tree in the middle of EDEN garden. He said the day u eat it, u are DEAD. GOD in his own will left this one path open in the whole of creation, as Freedom doesnt make any sense with out a way out. I mean, u cant close all the doors and windows of a building with a man inside and say to him that he has the freedom to stay or go out. You must at least leave one door open for him to choose for himself. In this way GOD showed man his virtue ie. Freedom of the will. It was up to man to use his freedom in the RIGHT way.
Then Satan in the form of a snake tricked EVE into eating the fruit saying you wont die if u eat it. Satan showed God as a liar. So SIN entered into the world thru a Woman. Hence Woman is considered to be a weak being. The moment Adam and Eve ate the fruit, their eyes had been opened to see Right and Wrong. Till then they knew only what was only Right. Now, They were spiritually DEAD as God said it would be. When GOD came for the evening walk he called Adam and Eve. But both of them were hiding in a bush. They could not face GOD with the sin. Adam could not resist his wife but tried to blame Eve for the sin. When God saw that they both broke the LAW, He was very angry.
He Cursed Man that all his life he has to work very hard on earth to earn bread for living. He cursed Woman that she has to undergo deathly pain while giving birth to a child. He cursed the Snake to have enmity with Man all its life, just as man strikes it on its head; it bites him on his heel. God did not destroy Man as he had Mercy on his own creation. At the same time the Holy GOD could not tolerate SIN. He hated Sin, but had mercy on the sinner. So he drove them out of the Garden of Eden. He was still concerned about man and his well-being.
God did not leave mankind but has been watching over to make man even to God. Over the years every man starting from Adams son Cain was guilty of sin on the earth. Then there came a time when nobody remembered or was concerned about God and was busy in Sin. The earth was rampant with sin. So God decided to destroy all the sin in the world. Over all the earth he found a man and his family that was trying to please God. It was Noah. He called Noah and asked him to build a ship. Noah believed in God and did as he said. He brought all species of animals into it along with his family. He invited all the people to come into it as there would be a big storm for 40 days and nights, which would destroy all mankind. Nobody believed him and in turn made fun of him. After God destroyed all mankind and brought Noah to safety, He saw the sorry state of earth made by the flood. Life was wiped out completely except that on the ship. He decided not to destroy mankind in that way again. The sign of this commitment he made was thru a Rainbow. Therefore even today we see a rainbow in the sky after a heavy rain.
Noah and his family lived very well in the sight of God. The descendants of his three sons spread across the world to different parts. The three sons of Noah are Shem, Ham and Japheth. Japheths descendants spread to the coast and islands. Hams descendants formed to be the nations of Libya, Egypt and Canaan. Shems descendants turned out to be called Hebrews. As the children and grand children were born slowly people drifted away from GOD. They again gave in to the sinful nature. There came a time when no one on this earth cared about GOD. One of the descendants called Nimrod was mighty and a great warrior. In his time people tried to display their disobedience towards GOD. They were all united to challenge GOD, And started to build a tower to protect them if GOD again sent a Flood. When GOD saw that he felt pity for them as they were bringing their own destruction. Then GOD dealt the situation by mixing up the languages people spoke. Suddenly people were speaking different languages. They could not communicate to each other to build the tower. People formed small groups by the language they speak and left the tower unbuilt. These groups of different languages fled to different parts of the world and got settled there.
This is the way how the people of the small world have turned out to be the people of all the five continents and the many countries. The people who traveled towards the north and south poles got adopted to the climatic conditions there and transformed to be fair and white. Like wise those who came towards the torrid zone, slowly by the exposure of Hot sun turned black like Africans. Likewise the Chinese, Indians etc got their physical features by their respective climate. This is how the different tribes have formed all over the world.

Meanwhile we can see how SIN entered into the very nature of Man and has been flowing all thru the generations just like blood. From the sons of Adam to the present generation nobody needs to be taught how to sin, but it is the very basic nature of mans heart. It proves that MAN IS NOT A SINNER BECAUSE HE BREAKS LAW, BUT HE BREAKS LAW BECAUSE HE IS A SINNER. The Bible says there is no exception but everyone born in this world is a sinner by nature. All of us may not commit the same sin, but all of us are guilty of some sin in our life. Sin lies not only in the act, but the attitude itself.
We all very well know what is right and what is wrong, but our very nature tells us to do wrong and leave the right. Just as it was in its origin, Sin starts in our mind and later transforms into an act. Some sins are seen externally and others not. But sin is sin whatever it is. No body can escape this, as its very hard to control our mind and thoughts. GOD is very HOLY and cant stand even a light shade of sin. But God has great love and sympathy for the sinner as he is after all the handicraft of GOD.

THE PROMISE

Again there came a time when there was no one in this world who cared of or knew about GOD. When God saw all over the earth he found a man called Abraham who looked good in his sight. So he called him and spoke to him. When Abraham heard the God who made the heavens and the earth, He believed him. God asked Abraham to leave all his people and nations and follow Him. He promised He would lead him to a promised land and bless him into a mighty nation. And through this nation he would bless all the nations of the world. Abraham believed all this and followed god, this was considered to be his righteousness. God chose Abrahams descendants to be his own people. So that these people would represent him to the rest of the world. And that through them he would save the entire world, which was in great sin. In this way Abraham became the chosen one of God.

But Abraham and his wife Sarah were very old and had no children. Sarah was barren. When she knew about Gods promise to Abraham she felt very happy but thought that it was very late for her to give birth to a child. She did not believe that God could do miracles to keep his promise. So she offered Abraham her Egyptian maid Hagar to conceive for him. Then Hagar was pregnant. When Hagar knew she was pregnant she started looking down upon Sarah. Then Sarah started to ill-treat her maid Hagar. Hagar ran away from Abrahams house, as she could not bear it.

When Hagar was running away the angel of God met her and told her to return to Abrahams house. Angel of GOD told her that her son Ishmael would be blessed, as he was the son of Abraham. He would turn to be a great nation and numerous to count on earth. The angel also told that Ishmael would be as strong as a wild donkey. And that he would be against everybody and everybody would be against him. He also would live far from his brothers. Then GOD told Abraham to make a covenant to him and all his descendants throughout the world. This was called circumcision. So both Abraham and Ishmael got circumcised along with all the male slaves in his household. Even today u can see this custom in Ishmaels descendants (Muslims) and all Abrahams descendants (Jews).

But GOD did not forget the actual promise he made to Abraham and Sarah. So God appeared to Abraham and told that Sarah would conceive a boy child for him. Abraham laughed to himself and wondered whether at that old age would he and Sarah have a child. Then GOD said that sarah would give birth to Isaac. Abraham asked God to remember Ishmael also. The Lord blessed Ishmael to be a father of twelve princes. But the actual covenant was with Isaac. When Sarah laughed and said to herself will I be able to get a child at this ripe age, The angels of God asked If anything was impossible for GOD.

So Sarah gave birth to a child and named him Isaac, which means laughter. When Isaac was eight days old Abraham kept Gods covenant by circumcising him.
Then one day when Isaac was growing Ishmael son of Hagar made fun of him. So when Sarah saw this she told Abraham to send Hagar and Ishmael away as they would not share the inheritance. But Abraham was sad, as Ishmael was also his son. Then GOD appeared to Abraham and told him to do as Sarah said, and that god would make Ishmael a great nation too but the actual covenant would be with Isaac.

So the next day Abraham sent Hagar and Ishmael away with some food and water. After traveling far into the deserts Hagar left Ishmael as water was finished. They were going to die so Hagar and Ishmael wailed before GOD. So when god heard them He did not leave them and gave them water. So they were saved and moved along the deserts of Egypt. When Ishmael grew up he became strong and was an archer in the wilderness. So his mother married him to an Egyptian woman. In this way Ishmael has been the father of all the Muslim nations of the Middle East.

When Isaac was growing GOD tested Abraham. He asked Abraham to sacrifice his son. Abraham was even ready to kill Isaac when God asked for it. So God blessed Abraham and gave back Isaac to him. Isaac married a woman called Rebecca. He had two sons Esau and Jacob. God called Jacob and renewed his covenant made with Abraham. He blessed Jacob and named him ISRAEL. Jacobs twelve sons are the heads of the tribes of Israel country today. From then on God treated these people as chosen one. He was helpful to them in what ever they did. God had great hopes on Israel, as they were to represent GOD to the rest of the world.

Over the years we can see how GOD showed his love and concern to his people. You can see it in the life of Joseph, How God helped him in the foreign land Egypt to finally save him and his whole family from famine.
As Joseph and his brothers stayed on in Egypt they multiplied to a great number. Later the new Pharaoh and Egyptians started to ill-treat all the Israelites. They treated them as slaves. But God did not forget the covenant He made to them So, He chose Moses to redeem his people from the Pharaoh. Moses rescued Israelites from the Egyptians and led them towards the land flowing with milk and honey (todays Palestine). But the Israelites were very rebellious and sinful. They were grudging and questioning God. But God did not leave his people. He wanted to make peace with them. He gave the TEN COMMANDMENTS to the people of Israel. He told the way to live without sin and to please God. He gave many laws and religious rules for them to follow. He gave them clear instructions as how to build temple and worship. He asked them to give sacrifices of animals in order to cleanse them from their sins. He promised them long life in Palestine. But the Israelites kept rebelling against god. They kept sinning more and more. Though GOD chose them and was doing many miracles they didnt change themselves. God helped them all the way in the wilderness, like parting the Red sea, giving them food and protecting them from all the diseases. But the Israelites grumbled against Moses and God. So GOD took them in the long route from Egypt to the chosen land. God wanted a change in the hearts of his people.

Israelites were very soon forgetting all the great things the lord has done for them. Over the years God helped them through many great leaders like Joshua, Ezra, and Nehemiah. He fought many wars for the people of Israel over the countries of Egyptians and Philistines. He sent many Judges to them to set them right. But the people of Israel kept sinning and grieving GOD.
Then God chose kings to rule over Israel. There were many kings like Saul, David, and Solomon etc. God helped these kings in protecting the country. But the hearts of the Israelites stayed away from God. Then God sent Prophets to guide the people towards him. There were great prophets like Samuel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Hosea, Eliza, Elisha and Zechariah. These prophets did great things for God and stood in between God and Israelites. However they could not change the hearts of the Israelites. Their hearts kept on sinning. Very soon they forgot what GOD had done for them and went far away from him. The Kings, Judges and the Prophets could not bring the people of Israel near to GOD.

THE SOLUTION TO SIN

Man was in the total control of sin. No matter how hard man tried He could not win over sin by himself. So GOD had to fight with the SIN to save the sinner. He had to redeem man from the bondage of Sin. The Judges, Prophets and Kings have done great things for God, but they were human and could not win over sin completely. God found out that unless man gets freedom from sin he couldnt come closer to God.

God had to interfere directly to win over sin to help man out. God decided to send his only SON into this world to win over sin. He was ready to sacrifice his SONs life for redemption of the mankind from sin. This salvation plan was for the entire world not only for the Israelites. God kept the promise he made to Abraham that Through Israel he would bless the entire nations of this world. So he made this Universal plan to all the mankind to accept and win over sin and spend eternity with God.

Then God sent Jesus Christ his only son to this world through virgin Mary. Jesus was not born of ordinary man and woman. But thru the Holy Spirit. The essence of One God is in the three persons. GOD the Father, GOD the Son and GOD the Holy Spirit. Hence he is called a Triune GOD. Just like Water is in three forms Ice, Water and Vapor. All the three are infact ONE.
Just like u cant differentiate a mans body, mind and soul. So the SON of GOD took the shape of SON of MAN in the form of JESUS CHRIST to make SONS of MAN the SONS of GOD.

Hence Jesus was sent to the world as a ransom for the entire sin of the mankind. He came into this world to give his life on the cross for the cleansing of the sin of the entire world. Just as we give sacrifice of lambs and goats for the cleansing of our sin, He came to die in the place of sinner. He did not sin on this earth but was ready to die for our sins. For the cleansing of the human sin blood of a sinless man should be paid. And there was no one eligible to pay that price in all the history of mankind except Jesus. Jesus Christ lived in this world for thirty-three and a half years in the country of Israel. There is no denying about it as He was the only man on this earth to break the history of mankind into two i.e. BC and AD. He has been a towering figure in all the history of man.

God chose Mary of Israel to give birth to the savior of the world. When an angel of GOD came to Mary and told that she would be pregnant and give birth to a child who would save the entire world from sin, She was astonished. She could not believe that as she was never married or was touched by man. But she accepted that and praised the lord. God choose Mary so that the child would be born not of Human relationship but by the spirit of God. There can be many great people born out of human relationship but there can never come a sinless man. There were many great people in the history like Moses, Abraham, Isaiah, and David etc. But there is only one sinless man who walked on this earth ie. Jesus Christ. He only had the eligibility to stand without sin all his life.

God spoke to Joseph and told him to accept Mary. Many prophets have prophesized in the past that a king would be born on this earth who would destroy sin out of this world. When Christ was born three wise men from the east came to see him by following a star. They were surprised to see him born in a stable. They offered him great gifts. The child was born and brought up in Israel. Jesus grew up in a very nice way. He lived for thirty years with his family helping his father and mother.

After thirty years he was on the road for the very cause he came into this world.
John baptized him in the river of Jordan. When he was being baptized the spirit of the Lord came in the form of a dove. There was the voice of God that said that Jesus was the Son of God told all men to listen and follow him. After that He had forty days of prayer and meditation in the wilderness.

He moved all about Israel doing many miracles for the people. He had twelve disciples who were from all walks of life. All the three and half years he moved about to all places preaching the gospel. He had great mercy for the sinner. Wherever he went there were lots of people to following him. He went to the synagogues to preach. He was very critical of all the religious leaders who were hypocrites. These people were very proud of their religious background but deep in their hearts they were great sinners. Jesus came into this world for sinners but not for righteous people. He came into this world for all who want to be good but cannot do it by themselves.
All the time he was with the sick and sinners. He helped them in getting healing. He healed the sick, brought the dead to life, opened blind eyes, made dumb men speak. etc. He also did miracles like feeding the five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fish.

More than this the messages and words he spoke had eternal life in them. He gave a new definition to life. He promised that he was the Way, the Truth and the Life. And no man can come to GOD except thru him. He also said that everyone who came to GOD would not be turned away but would be given eternal life. He called all the people of this earth who were under heavy burden to him, so that he would carry their entire burden. To all the people who were thirsty he promised to quench their thirst eternally. He loved the sinner but hated sin. He was considered to be the friend of sinners. He all the time showed mercy to the sinner. He said that sin was the attitude of rebellion of the heart. He said that sin need not be in act always but in mere thoughts also. He also told that God saw the heart of man, but not the external things. He also taught to forgive and love our enemies. He also told them that Faith in God was the crucial matter that would take them to heaven.

Once when was preaching the religious leaders wanted to catch him in his words , so they brought a woman who was red handedly caught in adultery.
They told him that According to the law of Moses such a woman should be stoned to death. They wanted to catch him because he was all the time telling that he came into this world to save the sinners. If Christ told them to stone her they would have asked him about his mercy to sinners. If he told them to leave her they would have asked about the punishment Moses law gave. So when they thought that Jesus was caught, they started to pressurize him. Jesus ordered that the one without sin should throw the first stone. There was nobody who could throw the first stone, as everybody was guilty of sin. Then he told the women to go and sin no more.

How did Jesus Christ have the power to forgive sin ? This is because in a few days he was going to give his life on the Calvary cross. He promised that he would die for the human sin , but would rise from the tomb on the third day. He would be resurrected to show that he defeated sin. He would rise against all the power of sin. He died to make us free from sin. We neednt die for the sins we did. All the priests and the religious leaders were against Jesus as the all the people followed him. So they plotted to kill him. They did not want people outside Jews to come to the GOD. But God in his mercy sent Jesus into this world to save all mankind. He was going to shed his blood for all the sin of this world. Jesus promised the sinners that all their sins would be forgiven as he was dying on their behalf. Jesus never sinned in all his life. But he was facing death just for the sin of all mankind. So that thru his death all the humankind need not die but have paradise. When the priests and leaders plotted against him and brought false witness against him he never spoke anything. He was silent like a lamb. Many of them hit him, abused him, made fun of him and challenged him, But he remained silent just for our sake. He was whipped and stripped. He was made to carry the cross to the hill of Golgotha along with two robbers. He bore all this pain without uttering a word. He forgave all those who beat him and mocked him. He had nails on both the hands and legs. He had a crown of thorns on his head. All this was the representation of the wages of human sin. He had nails in his hands because of the sins our hands had done, He had nails on his legs for the sins we did with our legs. His body was lashed because of our sins. He had a crown of thorns because of all the sinful thoughts in our mind. But he never uttered a word. He only asked God to forgive these people, as they did not know what they were doing. He also forgave one of the robbers when he asked him to remember when the day of the lord came. He that believed would have everlasting life. Finally he accomplished the task for which he actually came into this world. He died on the cross for the sin of the entire mankind.

He was put in the grave after his death. The king ordered tight security to be around the tomb so that he would not escape. But the resurrected power of God broke open the grave and Jesus was raised. The walls of death could not hold him anymore. He was the victor above sin. He came alive out of the tomb. Thats why even today u can see the open tomb in Jerusalem.

So as God promised whoever believes in God and that his son Jesus Christ came into this world to die for the sin and rose again on the third would not die but would have everlasting life. He has crossed from death to life. This ultimate plan is to all the mankind irrespective of tribe, country, white, black rich, poor etc. Those who believe this basic truth will glorify the ultimate plan of God and would not die but have everlasting life.

So my dear friend, all this truth will have no value if u dont believe in your heart. In order to save the world from sin, Jesus Christ died for u and for me on the cross. He rose again on the third day to proclaim the victory of cross and is now on the right hand side of GOD. He will come again to this earth to save all those people who will believe in him. This time he will be coming not like a lamb but like a lion to punish all those who did not believe him and disobeyed him. It is the now the right time to give a thought to all God has done to save u and invite him into your heart. This is not a religion but a relationship with God. Your faith in the savior can save u from the hell. It is your choice to believe or throw away all this. God cannot break into ur heart but he can just knock, it is at your will to open it for him. He has shed his blood on the cross for all the sins u have done. Today he wants to come into your heart if u wish and to save u from the eternal destruction. Choice is urs to make even with God and his plan or to just put a deaf ear to all this. He loves u so much that He sent his everlasting son to die for u on the cross. He doesnt want u to perish under sin, but to be forgived by the blood of his son Jesus Christ.
